Registration is open to Returning Families for the 2026 season.  New families can register on April 1.

**RETURNING FAMILIES**:  If you get a closed group notification, please email the board at [email protected] and someone will send you a link to register your swimmer.  Team by-laws guarantee a returning swimmer a spot regardless of age group limits.

**NEW FAMILIES**:  If you get a closed group notification, please email the board at [email protected] and someone will send you a private link to the waitlist registration. This DOES NOT guarantee a spot. If you have more than one swimmer, please register them now and we will merge your swimmers IF your waitlisted swimmer is placed. We can not hold spots for other children. We will do our best to accommodate, but please understand that we limit age groups so that swimmers have the opportunity to compete in as many events as they qualify for and most importantly, we can run safe and productive practices. 

Practice begins on Tuesday, May 26. The end-of-season Division Championship is TBD. This summer, Aquia Harbour will be swimming against the following teams -  Massad YMCA (exhibition), Hampton Oaks, Hopyard, Spotsylvania YMCA, Leeland Station, and Austin Ridge. The schedule will be posted soon on the website calendar.

If your swimmer has not competed in a swim meet or is new to the team, they will be required to try out. They must be able to swim one length of the pool unassisted and be able to follow age-appropriate instructions, with the exception of developmental swimmers aged 6 and under. Our coaches work on stroke development and endurance over the summer, the tryout is mainly to see if your swimmer can safely and independently swim across the pool and be able to participate in practice.

Developmental Program

We will have a small number of developmental spots open, minimum age is 4 as of 1 June 2026. The coaches will evaluate your swimmer during the first few days of practice to determine their suitability for the developmental program. If a swimmer does not pass the evaluation, their registration fee will be refunded.

Participants must be:

• A minimum age of four (4) as of June 1st, and toilet trained. Swim diapers are not allowed.
• Eager to participate in a formal swim lesson with a coach.
• Comfortable entering the water without a parent or guardian. **PARENTS ARE NOT ALLOWED TO ENTER THE WATER DURING OR IN BETWEEN PRACTICES**
• Comfortable putting their head down and face in the water.
• Must volunteer for home meets.

All families must purchase a 2026 pool pass prior to 26 May. We do not sell pool passes; you must go to the AH Business Office located at 1221 Washington Drive, Stafford, Va 22554.

2026 Registration Fees

In 2026, the RSL requires a non-refundable payment of $20 per swimmer during registration, this will be reflected separate from dues in your shopping cart. 

2026 dues are as follows:

$145.00 swimmer 1

$130.00 swimmer 2

$115.00 each additional swimmer

Registration includes a team shirt and latex swim cap.
