Hello Dolphin Families!

As a requirement for registration, each family agreed to have one member become a Certified Official for the team. Having a wide pool of Certified Officials ensures the team will not have to forfeit a meet for lack of officials. Additionally, it does not place the burden of working every meet on only a few certified individuals. Our goal as a team is to ensure all families volunteer and still have the ability to sit and watch their swimmers.

I have created a sign up with position description for all Certified Official roles. It is under the "Calendar Events & Meets" section of the website (Click Here). RSL training will be rolling out starting in May, so please go sign up as soon as possible. Referee & Stroke and Turn Judges will have an in person training requirement, there will be 9 sessions, one here in the Harbour (details TBD). All other Certified Official trainings are virtual. I will reach out to provide the training information specific to the role selected after you have signed up.

In addition, the Aquia Harbour Dolphins have many U.S. Swimming officials who are more than happy to provide additional training/help to ensure all officials are comfortable with their roles.
