Hello Dolphin Families! 

We are ONE WEEK away from our first meet and we have 4 families that have certified officials based on the RSL report from today. There are 75 dolphin families this season. 

As we mentioned in team registration every family is REQUIRED to get ONE member certified. Without certified officials we cannot hold a meet, we will have to forfeit. 

Training is ONLINE and FREE. Please sign up for the training you are interested in taking. Since we need 4 Stroke and Turn officials for each meet - there are more slots of those than any others. You may never have to act as a certified official, however, having the training depth only helps the team. 

ACTION NEEDED:

1. Please go to (Aquia Harbour Dolphins) - Meet Schedule - RSL OFFICIALS TRAINING SIGNUP and click - sign up for JOB.
2. Select the Position(s) you are going to train for.
3. Once you have signed up for the position you want to get certified for, go to Training Info - RSL Swimming (swimtopia.com)
4. Complete the selected training via the EdPuzzle platform (not the APP!)
5. You MUST answer all questions and click the SUBMIT button at the end of each course in order to get credit. If you do not score 70% or higher, you will be required to re-train.
6. After completing RSL training, please complete and submit the Officials Training form to be considered for certification.

As previously mentioned, we will provide an in-person training/shadowing option for those who sign up to be certified as a Referee, Starter, and Stroke & Turn Judge. Next Monday, May 3rd we will be offering 2 sessions (Noon & 6:30pm)

for those who would like an in-person review - with some volunteer swimmers to show examples and the starter equipment to practice.
